The Fall 2026 season is designed to introduce new players to the game while continuing the development of returning athletes. This six-week season taking off holiday weekends is focused on skill development, game experience, and building confidence in a fun, positive, and competitive environment.
The season begins on August 16, 2026, and concludes with the Lax Gives Back Tournament in Frisco on October 3, 2026. Players will also have the opportunity to participate in an additional play day in November.
Practices: 3rd /4th grade practices will be held on Sundays for one hour each week. Expect to see training that is structured, but fast-paced and fun. We teach the sport by breaking the girls into small groups and rotating them to various stations that each teach a game-specific skill (ground balls, catching, throwing, dodging, shooting, defense, etc.).

The Fall 2026 season is an exciting step toward the growth of girls lacrosse in Aledo. Girls get to choose their number (based on graduation year) and keep it as long as they are in the program. As the first girls youth lacrosse program serving Aledo and the surrounding communities, we're building something special—and we'd love for your family to be part of it.
All skill levels welcome. No prior lacrosse experience required

Spring is the primary season for lacrosse and is open to both new and returning players. It runs for 11 weeks and is designed to be a player's main spring sport (but we are also understanding of conflicts at this age).
Practices: 3rd/4th Grade trains two days a week for an hour and fifteen minutes. Expect to see training that is structured, but fast-paced and fun. While we still emphasize fun and do station work to drill fundamentals (especially early on), training will evolve over the season to more team-based training as we get into game play.
Games: While 3rd/4th is still an excellent time for girls to start lacrosse, this level also acts as a bridge from youth to middle school lacrosse. You will see more girls on the field and an introduction to offensive and defensive philosophies, as well as additional training and games. Our 3rd/4th Grade teams will play games on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons where we will have play days in Aledo or the Metroplex against other local programs in the Texas Girls Youth Lacrosse League (TGYLL), and end the season playing in a league-wide tournament. Play days will consist of a minimum of 2 games per day.
Fees: 3rd/4th dues for the Spring season are for ~18 practices and ~6 games plus an end-of-season tournament (~3 games). Player uniforms (reversible jersey and game shorts) are purchased separately.
The largest driver in our dues are field space. Additional costs covered by dues: officiating fees, tournament dues, operating equipment (goals, balls, etc.). That being said, we are committed to growing the game and do not want finances to be the limiting factor. We offer sibling discounts, as well as payment plan options at registration. Please reach out to us if additional financial assistance is needed.
Equipment: Mandatory equipment once practice begins includes a girl's stick, a mouthguard and eye protection. Cleats are not required but recommended. Please see our new player equipment recommendations. Goalies require a helmet, throat guard, chest protector, gloves, shin guards and thigh protectors.
Format: 3rd/4th Grade will play 7v7 (including a goalie) with regulation (6'x6') goals and rubber balls on a reduced-sized field (60-70 yds x 35-45 yds), playing 18-minute running halves. We train as a group and divide up into multiple, evenly-balanced teams and play other local programs.
Communication: Playmetrics is our main method of communication (this is the same application through which registration occurs). Once the season starts, this app allows you to see the team roster, team schedule and has a message feature for quick updates. Please be sure to download this app to your mobile device and to RSVP your player’s availability for each training/game. It’s critical information that allows coaches to plan accordingly.
